So, you ask: How on this good green earth can Peak Practice Solutions, LLC help you with paperwork? Well, take a load off and let us show you how to streamline your paperwork processes from the creation of paperwork (informed consents, assessments, releases of information and treatment plans) to worksheets, diagrams and other useful tools all in easy to manage collections. It is kinda like letting us do all of the grunt work and you get to do what you do best- therapy!
Let's talk about common paperwork issues in private practice:
1. I don't even know where to start to gather/create my own paperwork for my practice (or how to make my paperwork even better).....
- This is where Peak Practice Solutions comes sauntering into the building....we have got you covered. We offer great downloadable paperwork packages that are completely customizable in nature so you can tweak it to meet the specific needs of your practice without starting from scratch. The name of the game is: WORK SMARTER- NOT HARDER.
2. I have NO TIME to even put together paperwork for my practice much less actually use them (for the clinician who is doing too much at one time like working full-time but "working on plans" for private practice.....
- Again, we can help you maximize your time so that it is spent just 'tweaking' the paperwork, not doing it from scratch...unless you really like doing that sort of thing and if you do then that is totally awesome. Most therapists HATE putting together paperwork packages for their practice. Spend your precious time doing whatever it is that you truly are passionate about instead of trying to muddle through figuring out what insurance company requires what and what forms are actually needed in your practice. Our paperwork packages can be customized to meet your needs. Remember, each private practice is different-therefore different forms may be needed. We gotcha covered!
3. I have my forms but there are NEVER enough hours in the day to get all of my paperwork done, so now what?
- Evaluate where you are spending your time, there are likely times throughout out your day when you can be very intentional about doing your paperwork. Some people get good at timing their sessions so that they can get their progress notes done between sessions, meaning you don't actually have to take home your work. For others, they pencil in some dedicated time in their schedule to get them done. Best practice on paperwork is that all progress notes should be signed within 24 hours from the date of service (when the client was seen) so keep this in mind when planning your schedule.
4. But I don't wanna do my paperwork (insert sad face here).....well, get 'er in and get 'er done as they say. Here are some tips on how to streamline getting your everyday paperwork done like: assessments, progress notes and even treatment plans!
- We have quite a few cheat sheets and short-cuts to helping us get our paperwork done. Here is a great tool that is, in my not so humble opinion, the best money that I could have spent. I bought and downloaded NoteDesigner and have eliminated 90% of my paperwork stress. I say 90% because I actually live and work better under stress so I gotta keep myself motivated. NoteDesigner is an easy peasy not so fancy documentation tool that has hundreds of catch phrases regarding client presentation, session themes, clinical interventions and more all in a clickable program so that when you are done clicking you just copy & paste it all into your progress note. I swear, this program changed my life and no, there are no kickbacks for this promo! Check them out below.
